Attention all Abroad

To Prospective Visitors: Please note that we are now in process of constructing our rural ashram. We do not yet reside there, nor can we yet offer any retreats there, nor any space for volunteers. We will inform you when the ashram officially opens. In the meantime, because we are working very hard to get the ashram ready for residency, we can no longer offer full immersion retreats at our urban center. You are welcome to apply to come as a visitor, and if accepted you will receive an orientation and you will be able to attend all general classes and meditation sittings, but we cannot guarantee that we will have time to offer individual sessions during this period. Visitors are responsible for arranging their own lodging, meals, and other details of their stay. We will provide a listing of hotels and B&Bs nearby to those who request such information. Thank you for your cooperation.

New "Premaculture" Reading Group!

Paramanetism by Phillip S. CallahanNow that we have begun building our ashram/eco-village, the Sat Yoga Community is beginning a Premaculture Study Group, as part of our ongoing curriculum for self and planetary transformation. We will be studying valuable writings from modern and contemporary biodynamic farmers, biologists, chemists, physicists, architects, planners, landscape designers, and artists who specialize in achieving sustainability with beauty, spiritual growth, and community in harmony with Nature.

This month we are studying a book by Phillp S. Callahan entitled Paramagnetism. Learn how to revive and heal our current deplenished soils and be a part of the life force that will bring back Nature´s powerful abundance. If you would like to join our Permaculture class, which is open to all enrolled Sat Yoga students, please give us a call at 2288-3294.

Book of the Month: Lack and Transcendence by David Loy

Lack and Transcendence by David Loy - Sat Yoga Reading GroupWe invite enrolled Students to join our Intermediate book group for the month of February. The assigned reading is entitled Lack and Transcendence - The Problem of Death and Life in Psychotherapy, Existencialism, and Buddhism written by David Loy.

Expand your mind all the way into the higher consciousness of such great Existential thinkers as Heidegger, Nietzsche, Kierkegard, and Sartre, in combination with non-dual teachings from the most important Buddhist sages including Nagarjuna and Dogen, as they explore and discover the inner dimension of Emptiness, Being and Time. Such great thinkers explain in an advanced but comprehensible dialect the way to liberation from delusion, in order to realize the Great Meaning that flows beyond, and permeates through, the apparent objective dimension of Maya, that which we commonly refer to as the "real world."

Local students who wish to participate are required to complete our Free Orientation Program. Students abroad are welcome to purchase the book through Amazon and join us in an endless research/downloading/radiating of divine Truth.
