COMMANDMENT SEVEN









Put your money where you want your heart to be

We say, "Where your heart is, there your treasures will be also."

Jesus says, " For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also " (Matthew 6:21).

Put your money where you want your heart to be.

" Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength ... and love your neighbor as yourself " (Mark 12:30, 31).

Now obviously this kind of love impels us to give. But when that love is undeveloped or immature, it does not necessarily impel the stewardship of money.

I'm talking about a basic tenet: sowing and reaping. When you sow a crop, you take interest in that crop. You know that from experience. More importantly, Jesus emphasizes the point.

When you genuinely want God to take over your affairs, you'll find no better way than putting your money where you want your heart to be-or where your heart should be.
