John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

In our last study we looked at why Jesus made this bold claim that he is THE way to heaven. Today I want to take just a second and look at the second claim that Jesus made about heaven. Jesus said I am THE truth.

C.S. Lewis once said that Jesus Christ could only be one of three things if you are logically looking a evidence of his life. He either had to be a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord. An intellectual person could never make the claim that Jesus Christ was just a good person. Jesus could have been a liar, he could have lied about everything and made it all up, and he could have been crazy and really believed what he was doing and let people to surrender their lives because he truly did believe he was Lord, or he could have been the Lord of the universe. Evidence shows that he could not have been a liar or a lunatic so the only possible explanation is that he was Lord. If Jesus is not the truth then the Bible is not accurate and once again there is no need for our faith. However there are so many facts that we have found that prove the accuracy of the Bible and in this section I want to list a few. The Bible has more original manuscripts dating in closer proximate to when it was writing then the Iliad which is known by scholars as the most accurate book ever written. Also as we look at history if we are logically speaking one understands that all true history is based on eye witness accounts of something that took place. Historically we have over 500 eye witness accounts of Jesus Christ after the resurrection. If that isn't enough experts say that if Jesus Christ would have lied and the disciples would have known about it then it would have been impossible for every single one of them to have keep it a secret under the extreme pain and suffering they went through. Every disciples was killed but one for not admitting that Jesus Christ was a fake. The only one that did not die was John because he was boiled alive and survived. Lastly, the Bible has survived as the number one bestselling book since we have starting keeping track. Based on historic evidence I would have to rule that Jesus Christ is THE truth. We have never been able to find anything inaccurate about the Bible and we never will.
