I believe that God loves us. I also believe that He loves this country we live in.
Growing up in the good ole USA I have often sung and heard other people sing the song
"God Bless America". I must admit that I have sung it with more enthusiasm some times than at others. My father (Harold L. Barber) sings it like he truly means it every time. I think we should not only hope that God blesses America but that also that America will Bless God.
But I have to admit that God has blessed America! We have all that the world desires. We have liberties in this country that other people have no ability to participate in. We have access to things in this country that people in other parts of the world can only dream about. The list goes on and on.
Even our recreation is unlimited. I did a google search on the internet and their was 1,290,00,000 sites that had something to do with sports. Why we live in a sportsmens paradise. We can participate in every sport imaginable in this country. What a blessing!
I believe that we were founded as a Christian nation and even though we have had our bumps we continue to be. We must remember to be obedient to God. We must seek His will in all of our affairs. We must be remember to keep God first in our homes, our marriages and in our churches. We must remember to bless God. I believe if we do this we will be able to sing God bless America and truly mean it.
