How It All Began
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
As I sit in my deer stand or wait in my blind for a dove to fly by, I can see all the beauty around me. Many colorful birds and other creatures fly, crawl, or meander by. The awesome sunrise or majestic sunset floods my mind with wonder. Where did it all come from? Was it all by chance? I think not. It would be as impossible as building a watch by putting all of the parts in a box and shaking them up. The first verse in the Bible says that God created everything.
I don't remember when I went on my very first hunting trip. It seems like I was born hunting. Just about everybody in my family loved to hunt and my dad or brothers probably carried me before I could walk.
I am thankful that they did, because I can enjoy God's creation more. The world has not always existed. God created it out of love so that He would have people around.
Prayer. God thank you that your love was so great that you created us and everything there is for us to enjoy. Amen.
