I love spending time with my two boys, Lane 14 and Seth 10. Over the past several years they have become active in the sport of motocross and have been racing for the past year.
One of the most difficult things we deal with in racing is that all races are held on Sunday and this of course leads to missing church a good bit during the fall and spring race seasons. This past Sunday at a race we attended in Alma, GA., the local leader for the Christian Motorcycle Association gave the morning devotional and prayer. He ended the devotion with the sinner's prayer and asked if anyone would like to have their bike blessed to come see him at his tent. Lane and Seth looked at me and asked to go see him. We took the bike's over to him and he and two other members prayed as we held hands. They take their name and race number and add to their master list which is prayed for every weekend.
This was a very simple and meaningful event that showed my boys that the Love of Jesus Christ is always nearby.
