La Comunidad de San Diego Denuncia y Rechaza la visita de Alan Bersin.
La Coalición Por Derechos de la Raza-proyecto de Unión del Barrio denuncia y rechaza la visita del Zar de la frontera-Alan Bersin a diferentes instituciones educativas en el área de San Diego.
A sólo días del 15 aniversario del Operativo Guardián, responsable por más de las 5000 muertes en la frontera, Alan Bersin con su visita busca disfrazar una verdad de muerte y continua violencia en la frontera. Para las comunidades fronterizas la continua crisis de violencia y el arrebato de los derechos constitucionales y humanos se deben en gran parte a la implementación del Operativo Guardián en un 1ero de octubre de 1994.
Ante el discurso de "visión" y de "cooperación" del Zar de la frontera, la Coalición Pro Derechos de la Raza deja en claro que fue Alan Bersin, que en ese entonces él era el Procurador General del área fronteriza, quien aplaudió la implementación del mortífero Operativo Guardián. En marzo de 1998, cuando Alan Bersin fue nombrado como la máxima autoridad en el distrito escolar de San Diego, la Coalición Pro Derechos de la Raza y miles de maestros progresistas activamente denunciaron este acto dejando en claro que las manos del Señor Bersin estaban manchadas de sangre por las miles de muertes en la frontera.
Es por esto que la Coalición Pro Derechos de la Raza hace un llamado para que juntos levantemos la voz de la memoria y expresemos nuestro rechazo y denuncia a la visita del Zar de la frontera Alan Bersin. Juntos en una sola voz declaremos que las muertes de más de 5000 mujeres, hombres y niños en la frontera jamás serán olvidadas.

We denounce Bersin's Visit!

The Raza Rights Coalition, a project of Unión del Barrio, repudiates and denounces the visit of Border Czar Alan Bersin to two educational institutions in San Diego.
The San Diego border community believes the ongoing violence at the border and the violation of human and constitutional rights are a result of the implementation of Operation Gatekeeper on October 1, 1994.
With just a few days away from the 15th anniversary of Operation Gatekeeper, which is responsible for more than 5, 000 deaths along the US-Mexico border, Alan Bersin's visit to San Diego intends to disguise the truth of the violence and deaths that occur daily at the border.
Despite the Border Czar's discourse of "cooperation" and a "new vision" of the border, the Raza Rights Coalition holds Alan Bersin responsible for his unconditional support to this deadly policy as then Attorney General of the Border Region. In March of 1998 when Alan Bersin was appointed superintendent of San Diego City Schools, the Raza Rights Coalition along with hundreds of progressive teachers denounced this act by making it known that Mister Bersin's hands where tainted with the blood of thousands that have lost their lives at the border.
The Raza Rights Coalition makes a call to all to unite and raise our voice to denounce the Border Czar, Alan Bersin's visit to San Diego. Together with one united ferocious cry we will proclaim that the deaths of more than 5, 000 women, men, and children that have occurred at the border shall never be forgotten.
