Wallpaper, It's Not Just for Walls!
And it's not your grandmother's wall paper any more.

I have seen some interesting ways of applying wallpaper lately.  It's easy to take advantage of a wallpaper's rich hues and appealing patterns without papering an entire room.

Take a look below to see some interesting ways of using wallpaper.

Please visit my website and view my newly added design installations.  Let me know what you think.

I can be reached at Windowdzn@aol.com  to design something new for your home!

Until next time....

Sincerely,

Diane Sherman
Paper behind bookshelves. On built-ins or freestanding pieces, paste wallpaper to shelf backs. Paint shelves a color that you pull from the paper.

Cover a ceiling. A papered ceiling can give a room a whole new look. In rooms with tall ceilings, this will make the space feel cozier.

Create a wallpaper headboard. Outline a square of wall behind your bed with chair railing or other decorative trim. Wallpaper inside the trim, and then push the head of your bed flush against the wall so the paper looks like the bed's headboard.

The best way to pick wallpaper is to decide where it's going first, and then factor in the durability. A fragile paper could work in a master bedroom, but not in a kid's bathroom or a back hall.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper comes with a variety of price tags and ranges from about $12 up to $200 per roll depending on what the wallpaper is. More involved textures or natural products that have been backed with paper for hanging tend to be far more expensive and are best hung by a professional.

Finally, if you love a wallpaper but aren't ready to redo a whole room, try buying a sheet and framing it for an easy way to get the look you love.

A dramatic red-striped wallpaper enriches this master bedroom, which is softened with creamy bed linens and floral print window treatments.

A hand-blocked Zuber wall covering depicting a French landscape enhances the breakfast room's connection to the outdoors.

So experiment with wallpaper.  And when your walls are papered, call me for coordinating custom window coverings!

Please give me a call and I can design the perfect one of a kind window treatment for you!
