Validating Employees Through Reviews and Incentives
When it comes to employee retention, managers often think the more money they throw into the pile, the higher chance they have at keeping the talent they've worked so hard to find. However, studies show that more often than not, financial incentives are not enough to keep producing employees content and goal-oriented. So what does a company need to do in order to ensure their recruitment efforts aren't squandered? There are many things an employer can do to boost morale, confidence, and teamwork while reducing turnover. Standard scheduled bonuses and pay increases are typically recommended, but let's also review the other ways employees can be motivated to show up on-time and in a productive frame of mind. Keep Yourself & Employees Healthy this Flu Season
Flu season is coming-do you know where your hand sanitizer and tissues are?
Now is a great time to remind employees of simple tricks to stay healthy and avoid the flu:
Clean your hands. Check out www.flu.gov/professional/business. Posters from the Centers for Disease Control can help employees remember to cover their coughs with a tissue or their arm, and to wash their hands frequently.
Get a flu shot. Consider hosting flu shot clinic at your workplace-it's not too late to plan one. Talk to your insurance provider, local hospital or public health clinic. Or let employees take time off to get the shot at their doctor's office, health clinic or local pharmacy. The earlier you get the vaccine, the better, since your body needs two weeks after receiving the shot to build up full immunity. However, flu season runs through early spring, so even a shot received in January can protect you.
Encourage employees to take time off if they come down with the flu. Bringing germs into the workplace isn't going to help anyone! And they'll recover more quickly at home, rather than doing a half-hearted job at work.

Happy Client Testimonial: Impact Marketing & Design
"I have been a small business owner for 13 years and have always struggled with managing employees. You learn really fast that one small mistake can cost your business hundreds of dollars. Since meeting Lori, I have been so impressed with her professionalism and knowledge in the California Employee laws. I purchased her small business CD package and whenever I need to hire someone or let them go, all of the documents I need are right at my fingertips and easy to find. This CD was a small investment that has saved me hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars...not to mention the hours I could have spent trying to figure out just what I needed to do! Thank you, Lori!" - Dione Moser, Impact Marketing & Design |
