It's hard to believe the summer is already upon us, with long sunny days, balmy evenings and warming waters - it's a lovely time to be diving in the Red Sea. The Mantas are expected any minute now and the fish are already starting to shoal at some of our favourite spots like Ras Umm Sid and Shark & Yolanda.
But the excitement of the year so far has been the daily  discoveries of an incredible variety of macro life including nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, squids, cuttlefish and crustaceans. The picture above shows an Ornate Ghost Pipefish (one of a family of three) who took up residence on the house reef for a few months and alongside, is a great shot of a hermit crab discovered during a night dive. With 3 Photography Workshops scheduled this year there is so much to capture and the summer hasn't even really begun!
