Over the last six months, visitors to Oonas Dive Club have been invited to help raise money for Project Aware by recycling their holiday paperbacks.  A bookcase in the reception area offers guests the opportunity to take a paperback in exchange for a contribution - so far this simple exchange has resulted in a massive...........

Happy New Year.  All of us here at Oonas Dive Club look forward to seeing you all here in 2012 for some more amazing diving and great times.

1000 dives for JP
JP 1000 with Amy
Huge congratulations to Oonas Dive Club regular John Parmiter (JP) who on his 34th visit to see us this December, completed his 1000th dive.  
 
This special achievement is all the more extraordinary because JP was partially paralysed by polio at the age of 17 and, for the last 5 years, has been confined to a wheelchair. 
 
Staff and guests at Oonas celebrated this amazing record in
JP 100 dive celebration the usual Oonas way with cake and beer after a fab day of diving.  As if to mark this special week John and his guide Amy were also joined by a couple of incredibly friendly dolphins who joined them for a full hour on one of his dives.  Well done John we look forward to many more dives with you.

Hooligan Facelift
HooliganWelcome back to our boat Hooligan after her return from a short stay in dry dock. 
Looking all spruced up and shiny, Hooligan has

 

 

 

renewed toilets and galley, much improved top deck covering and a refurbished saloon area. Captain Hani and Deckhand Ahmed hope to be able to welcome all of you back on board in 2012.

Oonas Dive Club is proud to have been a PADI affiliated Dive Centre for 20 years.  Terry Johnson, PADI's Regional Manager visited Oonas to present a special plaque to commemorate this longstanding partnership.  If you would like to know more about the PADI Courses available at Oonas Dive Club please click here.
