A Message of Thanks...

The start of the 2011 spring semester has been a busy one, and once again, PrimeTime volunteers have been answering the call to come to the Century Campus to help out! Volunteers continue to prove that they are among our community's most valuable resources and Century's PrimeTime/Plus 50 volunteers are truly making a difference! It is certainly my pleasure to work with all of you who are "giving back" in so many meaningful ways. And more volunteer opportunities will be arising in the coming days, so hope to see you soon!

 Lynda Halbert

Warm regards,

Lynda

Welcome Week

Volunteers were asked to serve as Greeters during January Welcome Week and during the first three mornings of that busy week, 9 community volunteers cheerfully logged 20+ hours of greeting time on East Campus.

Many thanks go to: George Dahl, Marty Foote, Marty Gerkey, Sandy Goss, Dennis Kirchoff, Vicki Kramer, Marlys Moen, Dan Ryan, and Dennis Welsch.

Jazz Festival

Volunteers also responded to the call to help out during Century's  22nd Annual Jazz Festival during the last weekend of January. Eleven volunteers helped out as Greeters and Ticket Takers during the two performances in the West Campus Theatre. Many thanks go to: Maureen & Dennis Welsch; Vicki Kramer; Kathy & Dennis Kirchoff; George Dahl; Marty Foote; Dan Ryan, Theresa & Gary Schuler and Tim Hanson.

Thanks to all these wonderful service-minded community volunteers!

Participants will learn about all that the Century Library has to offer community members. The event will begin with introductions and networking at the coffee shop near the first floor Library entrance on East Campus. A $10 fee will include light refreshments.
