Dark Night of the SoulDark Night of the Soul- 4-6 June
When facing change, we are facing the unknown. This can lead to feelings of loss, meaningless and dissatisfaction. Welcome to the Dark Night of the Soul - that rite of passage which can occur at any age and which can lead to core realisations about life. Lifeflow meditation can help you to make sense of this experience, open to valuable insights and develop acceptance.

July 7-day retreatCalm and Clear: meditation for life - 7-day- 11-17 July
The practice of meditation can bring you to a place of deep calm - your body is relaxed, emotions are settled and your mind is clear. During this retreat we will explore the deeper states of meditation and the associated experiences that go with these levels. Just as important as tapping the deeper levels of calm in formal meditation, is being able to maintain a light state of balance throughout the day...

Take some time to rejuvenate
Retreats are wonderful opportunity to get some space for yourself, and get some perspective on what's been happening in your life. Enjoy a break from normal pressures, relax deeply, and return home with your outlook refreshed. In all retreats you will learn a range short 'spot' and longer meditations, and be guided through deep relaxations and gentle yoga. The food is wonderful too!

Andrew BaldwinMembers seminar at Tara Hills
Long retreat - a work in progress
Andrew is a professional glass-blower who is currently undertaking a long retreat at Tara Hills. Andrew will talk about some of the fundamentals of his practice and approach to meditation, three things that saved his life and the process of learning to wake up from the semi-hypnotic state of daily existence. Strong and colourful language may be used at times.

Weekend retreat at Tara Hills
Open... to your innate clarity, wisdom, bliss and joy
Our minds can reflect many different colours or mind states but quite often we are familiar with only one or two, and these become our experience of the world. Tantra Meditations, combining visualisation and mantra, are drawn from the Tibetan meditation tradition. Each meditation allows us to open all our senses and tap directly into a specific mind state.

Inner strength - building a core to your practice
Having trouble getting started with your own meditation practice? Or, perhaps having started you are not sure which direction you are heading or what the purpose of having a regular practice is?

This retreat will focus on how to build a solid foundation that will enable your meditation experience to deepen and grow. As with any discipline, it is from this foundation that you can take your work further, sustain more advanced states (particularly in retreats) and be able to use the insights that come from your practice through the many seasons and colours of life.
Begins with lunch at 1 pm on Sunday 4 July
Finishes after lunch on Saturday 10 July

Crystal
an image of balance
 Crystal
The painting Crystal by Garry Duncan is a wonderful Australian version of a classic Tibetan visualisation. A dawn scene on the River Murray, Crystal is an unusually balanced composition. As a meditation visualisation it symbolises the mind and body in a completely balanced state - that deeply relaxed, calm and alert state which you reach through meditation.
