| Spring meditation tip: red rose |
|
Ok, so it's a cliché, but when you are walking the dog past some spring blooms, spend a moment in deep bliss with a meditation on aroma:
- Devil is in the detail? Perhaps the wonder is too? Stop for a moment, look at the complexity of any flower - absorb the detail in even the tiniest flower
- Aroma bliss: let your breathing settle, then take a deep breath in, inhaling as much of the scent as possible.
- Blink and you miss it! Enjoy the transitoriness of the experience - in a few weeks the rose (or any flower) will be gone. It's a metaphor for life - the joys of Spring are temporary - don't let them go to waste!

| Waves on the ocean |
Many people have the impression that meditation should be a completely thought-free zone. Perhaps they read somewhere that this is what it should be like, or they were taught this, but in either case they were done a disservice... It's exactly like believing that the ocean should never have any waves. Even when it is calm there are usually gently undulating waves moving across it. Read full article.
