Discovering clarity with your psychic abilities and learning communication with crossed-over loved ones is part of experiencing your soul's highest energy or your higher self. The work is worthwhile and rewarding because we grow to appreciate others and the person we are on a deeper level. Our deepest area is this place we are calling "the higher self." It is not always an easy task to discover this part of us and we stumble along the way. When meeting crossed-over loved ones using our psychic abilities we often gain perspective of them and understand their point of view better. We have a sort of "ah-hah" moment when we reach this very high place of our being.

The "ah-hah" sensation can be elusive because it is reaching a level of understanding we do not experience on an ongoing basis. It is a moment of clarity that may alter our thinking or change us for the better. These are times when we are willing to make adjustments in our life. We notice others when they make changes in their lives and become more balanced. They appear to have a sense of greater understanding. A person that suddenly becomes more mature and exhibits less risky or belligerent behavior is an example of a person recognizing their highest energy of their soul and acting upon it. They find a new comfort level in being a different kind of person. Others notice us when we change and may comment on it. Most people gradually grow and mature but sometimes change is unexpected for the better.

Changing behavior is not easy but can occur quickly with one event. We continually evolve and adapt our way of doing things to make us better people. Following our path in this life is enhanced when we use our psychic ability and recognize those sudden "ah-hah" moments giving us a sense of fulfillment and knowledge. A moment of recognizing our higher self is often associated with a spiritual or a religious event altering us. It can occur with extreme moments such as a near death experience or with one well-chosen word by another. Meditating, a relationship, or another life experience can produce one of these moments. A feeling of euphoria can be associated with it.

It is true that some people claim they do not have them and others do not learn from these higher moments in life. They do not adapt or modify destructive behaviors. These are the ones we need to help and send our best energy towards. No one has all of the answers but focusing on these individuals with our good thoughts and encouragement may help them achieve a higher consciousness. Prayer is a good vehicle to use when sending energy to others in need.

Any of the psychic senses can be used to achieve a moment of "clarity" and this is a major reason why all of the psychic abilities begin with the word "clair." Clairsentience, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and claircognizant are the major senses we use to reach our higher self. We each have a range and frequency for each of them and we should be encouraged to use them to create a better life.

Once we have a moment of reaching this part of our existence we want more and want to operate from this part of ourselves on a regular basis. It is not an easy journey to reach enlightenment for anyone and it is never fully achieved but we endeavor to keep trying. There is no formula for success only a willingness to be open and accept the information we receive. Psychic information can come to us suddenly without warning or we can focus using our extended senses to seek the answers we need for growth.

Our higher self is always there for us to reach for it. Most people experience this area of their soul's energy while others appear never to have a clue. It just takes a moment, an instance, of recognizing a new reality we never knew to become a changed individual. This is a beautiful moment in life that is only known by you.

It is essential that you use your full first name. Shortened versions of your name, as well as the use of initials or nicknames, limit the power and energies available to you. By using an alternate name, you are resisting your true purpose in life.

The first name of your signature is an image of your personal self that you want the public to see. It represents your self-esteem, achievements, wishes and dreams. A clear and fully formed name that matches the style of the rest of your handwriting means your public image is a close representation of your true self. An incomplete or illegible signature means you are not at ease with yourself and have unconsciously decided that a lesser version of yourself is all that is acceptable and worthy of notice by others.

Chinese Face Reading

In this series of articles, I'll be writing about the five elements, focusing on one element in each article so you can begin to recognize them . . . and know what to expect when you engage with one!

In Mein Shiang, literally "face reading" in Chinese, there are five basic temperament types called Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. These show as facial characteristics and body types. They also have correspondences to an emotion and it's complement, a color, and will display a characteristic approach to life. People are frequently a mixture of two elements, but seldom displaying three. Many will be primarily one element.

In this article, we'll look at the Wood element.

It shows on a face as prominent brow bones, thick eyebrows and an intense gaze. The face shape is rectangular. Any of these features can give some characteristics of Wood in the personality. Emotion: anger; complement: passion. Color: green. The skin tone is often olive.  

These people are passionate about things, have issues with anger and control (whether it's controlling or being controlled) and will be in your face about matters. They typically raise their voice and pound things to make a point. Having a naturally loud voice, they will try to shout down any resistance, often interrupt you to correct or override where you are going with matters. Impatience is frequently part of the picture.

Wood personalities are territorial with a double standard: they readily invade your boundaries but won't tolerate the same in reverse! When they give their allegiance, they are loyal and will fight to protect what is theirs, especially those they bond with. When they love you, they tend to want to shower you with gifts, a token of their allegiance. And make no mistake about it, you belong to them! This is the element most likely to engage in physical, competitive battle. Watch the Olympic athletes - Wood shining out of faces all over the place! A Wood person may not respect you except as you are willing to do battle and show yourself a worthy opponent (unless you are their princess...!)

Natural leaders yet often lacking good leadership skills, they will chafe in positions with no authority. Wood people have great drive, energy and focus and will make things happen, one way or another! This is a blunt, straight talking, demanding, bulldoze-through-the-middle- of -problems kind of person. (Note: some features on the face can affect the expression of traits, softening them, but the overall thrust of personality shines through.)

There are two types: the tall rectangular Wood, like a basketball player, that is in constant motion. The second type is short and compact like a gymnast. This type holds the energy, poised and still, then explodes into action like a bombshell. Both types generally have broad shoulders, small hips, and relatively short legs. The are typically uninhibited in how they express themselves!  

Wood is the warrior archetype with a well muscled body and thick, strong bones -- built for battle!

Some famous people with Wood as a dominant element, include Russell Crowe, Simon Cowell,  Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, Margaret Thatcher, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The chef on the Food Network's Restaurant Impossible, Robert Irvine, is as Wood as they come! Watch him in action and you'll have a very good picture of the quintessential Wood face, body, and personality
