Happy 4th of July Everyone:
It is my hope you are enjoying the summer and will have a safe holiday this month. This is a special time for me as I introduce my new book and expand my work around the United States. My travels have taken me throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana so far this year. This month I travel to Atlanta, Georgia, and I am excited to visit this city for the first time.
The articles in this newsletter are about self-improvement and evaluating ourselves constructively. Our psychic abilities can assist us with this process. Sylvia Tooker and I have both written articles in this area that I believe you will like.
I want to welcome Sandra Moore as a guest writer for this month. She is a face-reader and has written an article entitled, "Your Face Your Personality." I know you will enjoy the article and her website.

Self-Evaluation and Joy
Have you ever said to yourself, "I should have, could have, or would have done something else. What if I had made different decisions?" If you have, then you are not alone. If you have not, then you are very unique. This month, we explore the idea of self-assessment and the way it relates to psychic abilities and private readings. The pros and cons of self-criticism is a subject worthy of discussion because there are healthy and destructive aspects to it. Criticism, when appropriate, can assist in making positive key adjustments to our behavior. However, when it is constant, it can become overwhelming and stifle our growth.
.
A good example of self-assessment is my own recognition of my speaking abilities on my radio program. There are some days I feel I have done a good job communicating a message and working the audience, but other days, I believe I could have done better. A solution came to me by meditating and using my psychic ability to assist me in solving the issue. It came to me to take a course on "voice over". Sure enough, the course pointed out deficiencies that I did not recognize on my own. The listenership of my program has increased since I have taken the course. I remain an imperfect broadcaster, but I am getting better. Self-critiquing brought me to a point of understanding that I needed to make some changes.
I am fortunate my psychic abilities did not encourage me to get out of the radio business! My skills as a broadcaster need additional "tweaking" and training, but I believe I am good enough to continue my program and present my point of view on issues. If my self-evaluation was obsessive and affected my confidence, then my program would quickly end, and my public career would be in jeopardy. No one is perfect, but over-analyzing can cause our behavior to become negative causing us to make decisions that might not be pro-active or constructive.
In these times of uncertainty, I notice many people blame themselves for not being more successful or productive. In most cases, people act appropriately and make the necessary changes to accept challenges in their lives. We use our psychic abilities (whether we recognize it or not) to help us find direction. Some people, like me, seek validation from psychics to confirm our own psychic impressions or give us insight to move in another direction.
Sometimes, it is good to hear the words of a trusted psychic because it can be life altering. This is especially true when we are obsessing and considering destructive behavior. When used properly, a good psychic reading can change your life for the better. A psychic reading may be a precursor to therapeutic counseling that could be necessary if you notice your difficulties are not improving or you are continuing to unnecessarily blame yourself for conditions in your life.
Finding joy in life can be a difficult proposition for us if we continually second guess or criticize everything we do. It's good to find some peace in meditation, talking to a friend, seeing a psychic, or getting help with a professional counselor. Our goal in life is to be the best we can be, and this often means making changes that improve our condition. When we feel we cannot do better because we "beat up" ourselves, then we need help. The most important lesson of all is to never stop trying. Self-love is our first step to personal happiness.

Self-criticism is Not the Path to Enlightenment
By Sylvia Tooker, Certified Handwriting Analyst
Self-criticism is not the same as self-awareness. It is healthy to take stock of yourself, your abilities, your beliefs, and your current status in life. Realizing that you have made a mistake is being self-aware. Judging yourself as a failure is being self-critical. Declaring your weaknesses and flaws to be faults, giving negative labels to your actions, and talking harshly to yourself are all forms of self-criticism.
Blaming yourself excessively limits your possibilities. Negative thoughts create more of the same. Constant self-criticism can eventually lead to depression. Give up negative self-talk and be joyful instead. Joy heals. The more self-love and joy you have for yourself, the more love and joy you have to give to others.
Because we write from left to right, any time your handwriting moves backward when it is supposed to move forward, you are stuck in the past or focusing on yourself in an unhealthy manner. Self-criticism can be seen in handwriting when you cross a 't' backwards from right to left. This indicates that you are thinking harsh thoughts about something you have done.
Do you talk yourself out of being successful? Do you find fault with yourself even when others compliment you? Do you feel that your accomplishments are not quite good enough? Do you downplay your successes in front of others? If you sabotage your success with self-critical talk, then you unconsciously associate success with negative side effects. Fear of success develops over time when something unpleasant occurs during times of success. If you have this trait, you will never live up to your abilities nor achieve the success and happiness that you truly deserve.
Fear of success is revealed by a down-turned loop in a 'y' or 'g'. We normally end our words with an upward stroke which represents forward movement toward a positive outcome or future. When a stroke that is supposed to move upward suddenly turns downward, we know that our thoughts or actions are holding us back.
Replacing self-criticism with self-love raises your vibrations and renews your life. Forgive yourself; treat yourself well. Improve yourself for your own joy rather than trying to please others. Don't apologize for your accomplishments because your successes do not take anything away from anyone else. The next time someone compliments you, just smile and say, "Thank you!" Tune out the negative voices of the world, including your own, and find inner peace!

Your Face, Your Personality
by Sandra Moore Williams
The first time I heard the term "face reading," it triggered my bs radar. I was sure I had just heard the most ridiculous idea ever forwarded. But ignorance will get you every time! It is only fitting that I am now a professional face reader with fifteen years in the field.
So what is in this notion called Face Reading and why did it captivate me when I finally took a good look? The Face Reading premise is this: the outer structure of a face reflects the inner structure of personality. By learning the hidden meanings in the contours of a face, you gain knowledge of every person you see. And a greater understanding of yourself.
It had origins in people noticing that certain kinds of features on a face seemed to go with certain kinds of approaches or behaviors, like people with big noses seemed to have more drive to get to the top, that people with really wide faces seemed to be more bold in their attack on life. Studies gave validity to the observations. That's not to say that some notions weren't wildly wrong! Some were and have been eliminated from the more sophisticated systems of face reading.
Without really understanding the mechanics of how a face is structured to show an underlying attitude, I can say that testing the theory has proven it to be true. The initial problem was one of isolating what feature or structure on a face related to which particular behavior. Over centuries of various studies, several systems of correlations have emerged, some containing a high degree of accuracy, some not.
My own study of several different schools of thought has taught me what works and what doesn't. It also yielded a broader understanding of people and an expanded view of a face. I am certified in Personology, a system developed by a California circuit of appeals judge in the first half of the last century. He engaged in thirty years of research after studying everything available from the previous centuries. Then with a partner who held a masters degree in statistical analysis, they validated the findings to isolate 68 traits which came in at 100% accuracy. Those are the basis of the system.
The Personology system is trait by trait, looking at precise measurements, charting a face, head and certain body proportions. It considers that traits interacts, that combinations are the real story and that various traits can effectively cancel out others. It can give a great deal of information about a person and is highly accurate.
Judge Jones found that most personality traits are on a continuum, having a high end and a low end which show opposite attitudes. People with opposite traits do not understand each other. In the middle is a balance point and doesn't show a particular behaviorial tendency.
For example, people with eyebrows high above their eyes are more formal and quality oriented. They tend to be rather standoffish when you first meet them because they need to feel emotionally safe with someone before really engaging with them. This takes time. Low eyebrows are naturally friendly, like to touch people, love to show you how to do things. They are very informal. You are a friend if they know your name and you haven't proven yourself to be otherwise.
The two opposite traits have a hard time being comfortable with each other when they first meet. In-the-middle people show neither extreme.
The system uses a counseling technique of helping people understand their traits and how to shift their behavior when something isn't working for them. The approach is that the only person you should try to change is yourself, and to do it with an eye to being more effective and happy in your own life.
Face reading is a tool for understanding others as well as yourself, and as such has many applications such as couples counseling, vocational counseling, communications, sales, management, and human resources. Some people use it for jury selection.
In part two of this series, I'll talk about the Taoist Face Reading study called Mein Shiang and how that system views a person.
