The year 2012 is finally here and there is plenty of optimism  surrounding it. It is my hope this newsletter finds you doing well and looking forward to this New Year. Goals or Dreams in 2012?
Okay, 2012 is here. Now what? We have been anticipating this year because of the hype surrounding the end of the Mayan calendar, and there are differing opinions on the meaning of this event. The talk about 2012 just may be the catalyst to take a new perspective in our lives and create a new reality.
The New Year is a grand time to set goals, but this year it may be a good time to create new dreams. Dreaming of the perfect job and a healthy mind, body, and soul, and understanding that loved ones have not permanently left us are refreshing outlooks we can take in this year of big changes. It is not easy to set aside pressing issues these days, but having a positive outlook can make all the difference.
Goal setting like losing weight, stopping a smoking habit, or deciding to start an exercise program are all noble and good. If it is time to take self-improvement courses, this goal will empower you to learn about yourself. However, sometimes the word "goal" does not give us the big picture the way the word "dream" does. Dreaming of a better life and then acting upon it may be the impetus we need to get things done. Making our dreams come true requires an action on our parts. A little inspiration can help as well.
When creating a new dream, it is nice to learn about others that faced adversity and turned that adversity into a positive. One way to change your life and pursue a dream is to find your passion in life.
Jennifer Kimble is someone that decided to follow her passion, and here is a link to her blog to read her story. Jennifer's passion may not be yours, but it is inspirational because she has found happiness in a place she never would have considered at an earlier point in her life.
Sometimes, it takes a leap of faith to pursue a passion and fulfill an old dream or create a new one. This New Year is a good time to be positive and to have a dream come true. It's time to stop procrastinating and start to make things happen. Good luck!

Meet Up Groups Collect Pet Food
For Homeless Animals
This year, all of the Meet Up groups I work with collected over 200 lbs of dog and cat food. Over 180 lbs went to one person that rescued three pups and a couple of cats. The Dallas Morning News carried the story about the compassion of one man rescuing the puppies. Our Meet Up groups did not receive credit for the food donation but Dallas Animal Services and the Metroplex Animal Coalition are very grateful for the help. The compassion of Mr. Benson's compassion was inspirational and worthy of noting.
I want to thank everyone for contributing. The food drive did a lot of good.

Inspirational Video Left by Dying Teen
If you have not seen this recent video made by Ben Breedlove from Austin, Texas it is truly inspirational. This young man's courage while facing death from a heart defect has gone "viral" and captured the attention of over a million people and the major media. The perspective he offers us is of hope and validation of a life after we live our physical presence. I hope you are as touch as I was after seeing it. Here is the link

Inspiration by keeping Faith
Recently, an accident involving a young man in Arizona was declared brain dead and suddenly recovered. It's just another example of an adverse situation completely turning around and becoming positive.Click here for the story.

Introduction to Western Astrology
This is a comprehensive introductory workshop for Western Astrology. The course is a two hour interactive session that includes a discussion about each sign of the Zodiac, the influences of the planets, elements, and modalities. Understanding Your Dreams Workshop
Course Description
This workshop is an introductory course about examining dreams and the hidden meanings within them. The course will cover the dream state and the importance of having dreams to maintain a healthy life. One of the topics will be dream profiles, based on the personality of each person and the lessons that can be learned by understanding an individual. The workshop will identify common themes, recurring dreams, precognitive dreams, and the principal emotions they represent. Students will be taught methods to analyze and decipher the symbols within each dream.

Twenty Years as a Medium
This year marks the 20th anniversary of my learning about being a medium. My father passed away in January of 1992 and it was shortly thereafter we noticed his presence around us. I began investigating about the afterlife and learning I had a natural ability to understand the way a spirit communicates with those of us "in the living." My journey as a medium has been very rewarding but I know this gift is not about me. The work has brought closure to many people and it is a service to those in need. I continue to be honored and humbled by this work and by the many followers I have because of it.
