Hello Everyone:
August is a time when thoughts of fall are on the horizon. The start of school is near and soon we will be in the holiday season again. Didn't we just finish that? The clock is ticking and this year is on the downside. I am getting ready for my fall schedule and ramping things up with new locations for Galleries and Workshops.
Be sure to check out the articles below about this month's theme, inspiration. Sylvia Tooker is back this month with her tips to learn about "spotting" intuitive abilities in a person's handwriting.
Please take a look at the schedule and see if there is an event near you.

Inspiration!
These days, the economy and many people are in a difficult situation. It seems like there is a "block" on positive movement on a large and small scale. Whether you have been affected by the poor economy or know someone who has, you probably have wondered when things are going to get better. The answers vary from person to person, but it is certain that things will not change unless something "beyond the physical" occurs to make things happen. When there is "stagnation" around us, we often need a little inspiration to get us going again. Inspiration is invigorating and renews the spirit. It is human, beyond the physical, and it is psychic.
There are no formulas or methods to insure inspiration. It is elusive and unpredictable. This is why it fits within the parameters of psychic ability. Catalysts for inspiration can be "Puppies on You Tube" or a video from Go Daddy's' Bob Parsons. A new gadget, novel or scientific discovery are just a few examples of inventions resulting from inspiration. The simplest stimulus can change life as we know it and comes when we least expect it.
Creativity often occurs during low points such as the trying times that we are experiencing. For instance, the period after the Civil War in the United States was one of confusion and depression. The result was a tremendous economic boom with inventions such as the automobile, the light bulb, the telephone and the airplane. These inventions were not without hard work, but they had an essential psychic element to all of them. The expression "99% perspiration and 1% inspiration" has a lot of truth in it. Inspiration is the finest expression of psychic ability.
We do not think of low points in our lives as points of opportunity, but these are times when we can have our greatest growth. Where would Blues music or the latest Country and Western song be without someone experiencing a depressed moment? Inspiration comes out of nowhere and can change our perspective for the better. A brief "psychic moment" can make all the difference even when we may have experienced a long term depression. Some may not call inspiration psychic, but it is, and anyone can experience it.
Our economy and individual situations will improve, and inspiration will be a major element in the recovery. We do not know how, when or why inspiration will be received, but it will come. Prosperity may be just around the corner. People believing that things will not get better might have the psychic surprise of their lives!

Intuition: A Doorway for Inspiration
by Sylvia Tooker, Certified Handwriting Analyst
We all experience intuition in one form or another. A sudden thought, feeling or knowing that appears out of nowhere. But, are intuitive events sources of inspiration?
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, one definition states that intuition is "the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference." As to inspiration, the dictionary says in one definition that it is "a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation." So, yes, I believe inspiration can certainly arrive intuitively.
What do intuition and inspiration have to do with handwriting? Because strong personality traits are often visible in handwriting, a highly intuitive person's writing usually has frequent breaks between letters within a word. The writing can even look more like printing than cursive writing. Or, the break might be small and difficult to see -- the mere lifting of the pen which then returns near to or on the same spot before continuing onward to form the next letter. If you have breaks in your writing, don't think that you have poor penmanship. You have strong intuition!
