Psychic Touch Workshop
This workshop concentrates on developing your skills by using your physical sense of touch to sense energy around pictures and objects. The ability of psychic touch is referred to as "psychometry."
Students will be taught about the theory of the skill and practice with known energies provided to them. Demonstrations will be given during the workshop.
The workshop will be offered in the Dallas and Houston areas in March.

Hello,
The New Year is already creating a character of it's own with the economy, weather, and political unrest in the Middle East creating much interest. We are in the midst of tremendous change, and a positive attitude is a must. Not long ago, the Dali Lama was asked, "Are things getting better or worse for mankind?" The answer was quick and simple. Paraphrasing his answer, he said, "Things are getting better."
The refreshing optimism of the Dali Lama needs to be reflected in our own lives. Things are getting better, but change is never easy. Comparing our lifestyles to other times, we are living in the best time of human history. The future is bright, but it will come with struggle.

Psychic Feelings

Psychic Feelings The first psychic sense we can identify is "psychic feelings". This is a sense everyone has but may not acknowledge. It is the psychic ability we often ignore or dismiss because our logical mind tells us the feeling is an error. We are programmed at an early age to dismiss our feelings and use our minds to direct our actions. It is appropriate to control our actions and exhibit self control; however, it becomes more apparent with time that we should not ignore our feelings. Allowing our feelings to be ignored is not healthy. We are learning that pent up feelings lead to difficulties with relationships and can affect us in our professional careers. Finding the balance between using our feelings and our logical minds is a life-long endeavor, but it is one we must pursue if we are to grow. Recognizing our psychic emotions and acting upon them with prudence creates the ideal situation. Our society sends us mixed signals about expressing our feelings and emotions. When one says, "I acted upon a psychic feeling," the statement is often ridiculed. Reactions can even be destructive in some instances. Skeptics will demonstrate their insecurities when they criticize a person who acknowledges having a "feeling" about a person or situation. It is often called "luck" or "a guess" by those not wanting to admit that psychic feelings exist. A psychic feeling is a human emotion that comes to us without any provocation. These feelings can be early warnings of a problematic situation or a positive confirmation of a thought. Although feelings can be positive or negative, they are not "good" or "bad." They must be processed and should be considered when making judgments. Feelings can change due to circumstances and energy, but it is never wrong to have them. Learning about our psychic feelings involves reviewing different situations in our lives and reliving our emotions during them. We begin to recognize patterns and learn the way we reacted at similar times. A kind of "inventory" of feelings begins to develop, and an understanding of our emotions is created. Everyone has an individual style for recognizing feelings. Some people have physical manifestations when certain emotions are present. These are simply confirmations about this psychic sense. The willingness to understand our psychic feelings is the first step in developing a personal psychic profile. When we start acknowledging our feelings as important factors in our decision-making ability, we can start to find personal satisfaction and peace in our lives. It is through this acceptance that our psychic feelings are important and that we have the right to have them, that we understand our psychic abilities are real.

NBC Dateline and Psychic Scams
Dateline NBC aired a two-part story concerning psychic scams, and I wanted to share the link with you in this newsletter. The story highlights two "psychic readers" that ask for money while claiming that they can cure the negative energy around their clients. These readers use oils and crystals to assist them in solving problems. The amount of money charged for the first consultation is small in comparison to the exorbitant amounts they ask for in subsequent sessions. When confronted about their work, one of the "psychics" claimed that she just provided entertainment while the other person claimed she had been gifted since childhood. The story highlights scam artists in the field of psychic readers, but the majority of people in the field are spiritual people with the desire to do good for their clients. Most psychics do not over charge or make unfounded promises. It is unfortunate that the story did not attempt to demonstrate a balance between a legitimate practitioner and others.
A good psychic should be able to do three things for a client: 1) validate the client's concerns with at least 80% accuracy, 2) provide credible insight into a problem, and 3) give "a" future outcome to the situation. No psychic can give "the" future because we have free choice, and we can change our circumstances by our behavior. No psychic should attempt to take advantage of a client under any circumstances.
The Dateline NBC story demonstrates the need to continue to educate and promote good practices in the metaphysical industry. It will take time to sort out the professional psychics from the "entertainers". Good practitioners, in any field, rise above the phonies and scam artists. This profession is no different.
