from the events of the previous year. Predictions from psychics and astrologers are of high interest at this time.  This year is no different.  A prediction from the metaphysical community offers an insight and an "edge" for what can be expected in the upcoming 12 months.

I have shied away from making predictions because energy changes, and situations can be misinterpreted.  This year, there will be unpleasant natural events, so predicting these events is not going to impress anyone.  The real predictions in your life may come from your own psychic abilities.  Pay attention to your feelings, notice the messages in your dreams, and listen to your inner voice.

Trusting your intuition and not dismissing things you "just know" is important.  A psychic reading can validate you if you feel the need to have one; however, understanding your gifts and recognizing the gifts of those close to you will serve you well in the New Year.  Predictions are fun to listen to and can be very accurate, but having faith in your own abilities, free will, and good judgment remain the best determination of the future.

The start of the New Year is a time of optimism and renews our determination to make things better in our lives.  The year, 2011, is no different from the standpoint that we desire to lose weight, stop smoking, and start exercising.  The things we have been putting off are now at the forefront, and we are challenged to do something.  Our resolve to keep our New Year's resolutions is strongest at this time.

January is an ideal month to start thinking about developing your metaphysical and psychic abilities.  Getting in touch with your inner self will allow you to gain confidence and grow spiritually.  Whether you decide to take a few moments a day to meditate or start attending workshops, this is a time you can learn about your personal journey in discovering "existence beyond the physical."
