Dear Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well this month as we start the last quarter of 2010. It is shaping up to be a very interesting year with so many changes going on around us. The month of October will start my activities working with Spirit. I will be offering a workshop on "Connecting with Spirit" and sponsor a new event I am calling, "Dinner and a Ghost Hunt." It should be a fun time, and I hope you will be able to join me in person or on the radio.

Connecting with Spirit

The ability to connect and communicate with spirit is growing in acceptance in our society, but it remains controversial. It is controversial for many reasons, but the primary one is the fear of the unknown. We have a tendency to simply dismiss the possibility of communicating with a crossed-over loved one or a spirit because we believe that some harm will come to us. The idea of "just not dealing with the issue" keeps us safe. This belief is reinforced with our Judeo-Christian heritage and Hollywood.
Society is slowly giving us permission to work with spirit, and our fears are being resolved with the work of some pioneers in the field such as John Edward. He is a trailblazer in this area, giving validation and comfort to many. John is not regarded as a "phony" and has received acclaim by many. There will always be skeptics and nay sayers, but his work speaks for itself.
I believe the ability to communicate with spirit can be a very healing and rewarding experience. It can bring closure and forgiveness to grieving loved ones. Communication with spirit is a very serious event and should not be taken lightly. I often tell people is an "honor" to work with them because I realize the emotional bond and energy a person has with a crossed-over loved one. Sometimes closure is not possible with a session, but it can bring some perspective to a situation. (view the entire article by clicking here)

Creativity and Self-Expression:
Are You Listening?

(This is the third in
a series of articles about traits that limit  creativity and self-expression,
how they show up in handwriting, and what to do if you have them.)
What does
listening have to do with creativity and self-expression? Everything! What you hear constantly alters your perceptions, which then influence
your beliefs and behaviors. Listening is
not just hearing what others are saying. Listening includes paying attention to your own internal voice.
In
handwriting, the lower case 'e' offers clues about your listening habits. A normal 'e' is formed with an open
loop. The width of the loop represents
your willingness to listen. A moderate loop
shows that you are open to what others say, and a wide loop hints that you
might be broad minded. A narrow loop means
you selectively tune out what you don't want to hear. A closed or missing loop, which makes the 'e'
look like a lower case 'i' without the dot, says you don't hear much, if anything.
Lots of closed loops mean a person is narrow-minded.
Every personality
trait has positive and negative characteristics. Open listening is beneficial because it helps
you learn and broaden your horizons. You
will be an empathic listener and consider opinions different from your own. However, listening without discernment can lead
you astray if you accept everything that you hear, making it difficult to make decisions
or form a firm belief system upon which to stand.
Selective
listening ranges from tuning out distractions to having a closed mind. Selective listening can be a way of filtering
information to be considered later, giving you time to listen to your internal thoughts. Tuning out helps exclude emotional
disturbances or threats to a fragile sense of security. The down side to selective listening is missing
important information you don't know you need. You remain locked in your internal world rather than growing and evolving.
If you have
closed 'e's in your handwriting, start writing them with an open loop. Hearing more doesn't mean you have to accept
or believe everything. Conscious
consideration of new information will expand your consciousness and help you break
out of a limited mind set. You will not
only be more interesting to others, but will become more understanding,
tolerant and less judgmental. The
Universe recognizes a willingness to hear by bringing you new information and
opportunities to help you create the life of your dreams. Will you be listening?

October "Connecting with Spirit"

Aromatherapy can be used to as a means of
protection. When you are working with
people and are sensitive to energies, it is important to keep a circle of
protection around you. I suggest juniper
berry. Known as a very powerful
cleanser, both physically and energetically, juniper berry is a wonderful oil
to use regularly as you explore opening to other energies.
In a
quarter ounce of vegetable oil (the seed oils such as jojoba, sweet almond,
macadamia, etc. are all excellent), and add one drop of juniper berry. Close tightly and shake vigorously to
blend. Keep refrigerated or use within
three weeks.
Before you begin your day, seeing clients, working with
energies, etc., take one drop of this mixture and apply all over your aura
about 6" around your body.
I like to use this before each client. You can also use it after you have had a
heavy energy situation.

Meanings of House Numbers &
How They Affect Your Life

Your
apartment or house number, even your business address adds or subtracts to the
harmony of your life, whether you are aware of it or not.
In
numerology, all numbers are REDUCED to a single digit by adding their digits
together. The number 35, for example, would be reduced as 3 + 5 = 8. Of course with the exceptions of the master
numbers 11, 22, and 33, etc. I've had a
number of experiences whereby friends moved into apartments that added up to 11
even after I suggested they choose an alternate unit.
In multiple cases; there were so many
challenges surrounding the energy of an 11 address, they moved to another place
and took my advice prior to moving to the next one.
If one is
especially cognizant of their spiritual path, and embraces the light to uphold
such energy in their space; they don't require further explanation and wouldn't
consider the need to ask for it as they would already know the space was drawn
into their experience divinely.
The home's
base number (the reduced number) is only part of the energy of the home. All of
the numbers that make up the house's address are important. And it's even more accurate to include the
entire address line value to get a detailed overview; but for now, let's take a
look at the basic energy around single house numbers.
For
example a house number 5873....Base Number......5 (5 + 8 + 7 + 3 = 23 reduced to 2 +
3 = 5) Number 5 - is active -Gemini Energy
Number 8 - brings success and money -Capricorn Energy Number 7 - is a sanctuary -Cancer Energy Number 3 - brings social and creative
influences. The BASE number 5
is very busy energy, enhanced and accelerated by the 8 and the 3. The 7 allows
research or study at the house. This will be overshadowed by the more dominant,
active energy of the 5, 8, and 3. So...if you need quiet, just to be yourself or
study. This is NOT your house!

Cost ranges from $70-150. I'm going to give you the name of a place that said they would discount rooms for me 15%for one night and 25% for two nights. 903-665-7322. It is a neat historic home called the McKay House. There is also a motel called the Inn of Jefferson that should run around $60 a night located right on Hwy 59. (It's like a Best Western). Hugh at the McKay House has a reservation service (no charge) called Classic Inns and he books for several locations.
