Ogunquit Museum of American Art Invites Prospective Docents to Informational Sessions
Free Introductory Sessions: Tuesday, February 15, March 15 or April 12
The Ogunquit Museum of American Art (OMAA) is looking for volunteers to serve as docents in the Museum. Free informational sessions for prospective docents will be held on Tuesday, February 15th; Tuesday, March 15th and Tuesday, April 12th at 10 am at the OMAA winter o
| | Inside the Ogunquit Museum of American Art | ffice located at 196A York Street in York, Maine (on the left side of Ellis Insurance). Hands-on training at the Museum for those who decide to become OMAA docents will take place in late April, before the Museum opens for the season on May 1st .
Each session will lead off with a short movie about the Museum and its rich heritage of American art, with a question and answer period following. Refreshments will be served. Preregistration is appreciated. Street parking is available.
"This season we are recruiting new docents to lead tours and answer questions about our exhibits," says Susan Joy Sager, Visitor Services/Museum Shop Manager. "These informational sessions are an easy way for interested people to learn more about the museum and pick up application forms."
