Our "Image of the Week" features the Glencastle Irish Dancers performing in the 43rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade as it runs throught the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Sponsored by The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin in partnership with the Westown Association the parade returns this Saturday, 03/10, at noon. By putting the 46th modern edition of the parade the week before the holiday, the organizers have ensured bigger and better entertainment - more pipe bands, more dancing schools, and more floats with nearly 140 units marching. Milwaukee is on record as having one of the earliest St. Patrick's Day Parades in the United States; celebrating its first on March 17, 1843. Click here for images from previous years.
