Our "Image of the Week" comes from Miller Park last Saturday evening as the Milwaukee Brewers played the Chicago Cubs. The Brewers dispatched Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster in four innings en route to a 6-4 victory before another sellout crowd (44,091). Casey McGehee, Prince Fielder and Corey Hart all hit home runs while Yovani Gallardo got the win giving up six hits and only one run in seven innings. Laborfest, held every Labor Day, is the most visible presence of the Milwaukee County Labor Council AFL-CIO. From the beginning, which dates back in various forms to 1965, the family friendly festival has welcomed all of Milwaukee to join in the all-day celebration. The event kicks off with a parade through downtown Milwaukee at 11 a.m., followed by the free festival from noon to 5 p.m. on the Summerfest grounds (Maier Festival Park).
