MKEimages.com Image of the Week
The ethnic events continue this Thursday to Sunday (July 21-24) in the "City of Festivals" with the 34th Annual Festa Italiana on Milwaukee's lakefront. Billed as the largest Italian-American festival in America it offers an extravaganza of wonderful Italian food, music, fun and fireworks. Our "Image of the Week" is from last year's La Grande Parata della Festa Italiana (The Grand Parade at Festa Italiana). This year, Festa Italiana will focus on the Veneto Region of Italy. The capital of this region is Venice, most popular for its gondolas and winding waterways. Veneto is one of the country's richest historical, artistic, cultural, musical and culinary heritages, and it is also the most visited region of Italy. Another famous city in the Veneto region is Verona, the city of Shakespeare's famous lovers - Romeo and Juliet. Click here for additional images from past years. Photo Credit: Mark Bertieri.
