Greetings!

Spring has arrived and summer around the corner so it is time to start preparing for knitch's 2nd Annual Customer Garage Sale if you haven't already.

If you aren't familiar with it, it is your time to spring clean your knitting/crochet closet and sell unwanted items at knitch. You will receive an in-store credit for the exact amount money you receive for any sold items. Accepted items are needles, hooks, yarns, fibers, accessories, patterns and books. Please download the accompanying PDF which explains the precise procedure. You are responsible for packaging and cataloguing all your items prior to drop off. If you have problems, you may pick up a copy at knitch.

Collection starts this Sunday.

New class schedule is posted for the summer months. As noted previously, the summer schedule is a lean one based on past experience. A knitter's fancy somehow turns to soil, flowers, water, and travel for the summer months. For this reason, most of our classes are shorter in duration many one day workshops. Class subjects will be quick knits, knitted fashion, and toys. Please note that if classes are added to the schedule we will hi-lite them for a two week period, so keep checking for possible new offerings.

Summer hours start Monday, May 28th. See below for details...

What's New in the Shop?

Susan Forbes, local Fairy Yarnmother artist and knitch staffer, has offered her lovely hand-dyed and handspun yarns to us to sell. Because of the time consuming nature of her work, her yarns are in limited quantities and are best purchased to be used as an accent to a piece or for a scarf. In the photo we have them featured with complementary colors of Cascade 220. Her yarns are in various fibers and combinations such as fine Merino, Bluefaced Leicester Silver Top, and Bamboo.

FYM handdyed
Another new item in the shop has us thinking bling.....A new Louisa Harding yarn, Grace Hand Beaded has arrived. It is a blend of 31% Silk, 31% Merino Wool, 30% Glass Beads and 8% Polyester. Sue L created this Simple Garter Stitch Shawl in no time combining one skein of Grace Hand Beaded and one skein of Mulberry Silk. With the weight of the beads, the shawl has a romantic drape worn either over the back or in front. This model was knit on a size 15 needle but the sky is the limit!

We have added to our Back Room Sale Area some sweater quantities of worsted weight Ella Rae Classic Marls. These yarns have been discontinued by the vendor, unfortunately. If you ever wanted to make a Wonderful Wallaby, this would be a great opportunity to do so at a cool price!

For Those Who Like a Great Deal

We have paired up with PryBuy.comprybuy logo! Prybuy.com is an internet site that puts local companies in front of the online world by showcasing exclusive deals and coupons for participating stores. Currently we have a COUPON for a discount on summer classes and a DEAL which may be purchased at the Prybuy site for a $20 gift certificate for $10. In both cases, the printed verification must be printed at the Prybuy site and some restrictions apply in each case. Check in often because deals may change rapidly with no warning. You never know what will pop up!!!
