| Berroco makes quality yarn affordable
With the addition of Berroco Sox, we continue to expand our offerings from U.S.-based Berroco, a company with long roots in the fiber industry. Fewer import costs contribute to making Berroco yarns less expensive; great colorways and designers make their yarns and patterns appealing to knit. You can preview many of their pattern booklets at their website, as "online flip-books".

Greetings!
A customer came in the front door last week and exclaimed over the yarn colors, "When I walk in here, I am immediately refreshed from this gray weather!"
Spring is taking its time to arrive this year, but spring inspiration is close at hand. Refresh yourself and stave off spring-fever with a colorful little project while you wait for warmer weather.
Sign-up now for April Classes beginning next week. Offerings include a fantastic little spring crochet beanie with a colorful crochet flower - just the perfect weight to keep your head warm during walks and working in your garden in the brisk spring weather. The class will be added to the schedule and will be offered from 12 -2 on Thursday, April 14, 21, and 28. Phone 262-646-9392 to register.
Mary has been practicing her new crochet skills by making daisies from the recently-published book
75 Birds, Butterflies & Little Beasts to knit and crochet, by Lesley Stanfield, author of 100 Flowers to Knit & Crochet.
Also new and on a seasonal theme, from Susan B. Anderson, the author of Itty Bitty Hats, Itty Bitty Nursery and Itty Bitty Toys, it's Spud and Chloe at the Farm which includes a kid-friendly story to go with the knitted "farm friends" and farm accessories.

The most popular pattern in the shop
these days is "Barb's Koigu Ruffle Scarf" from Churchmouse designs.
Here Helen B. models her just-completed rendition of the scarf in Melody, by Jojoland.
The pattern calls for a cast-on row of over 600--but she says, "it was a fun, easy knit--even with all those stitches."
Amanda W. knit this lace afghan not on two needles but on a knitting frame aka. a "knitting board"--which is a larger version of the pegged knitting tool sometimes known as a "Knitting Nancy". Many of you may have childhood memories of making yards of knitted cord on such a device.
Rowan Alpaca Cotton makes this a cozy, light-weight blanket for 3-season use.
Donations of knitted items by knitch staff, the Wednesday afternoon knitting group, and other customers went to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota last month.
Thanks to everyone who contributed.
