"Cia" Sweater: a Fall Class
 | Our Summer Sale ends this week--the last chance to save 20% on

During the week of August 24th, the new Fall
yarns will begin appearing on our shelves.

"Sterling" is back--a fingering weight blend of merino and silk, wrapped with a
thread of sterling silver. Think holiday or bridal wear...

We also have 2 new yarns from Kraemer: "Perfection"--a kid-friendly
blend of Acrylic and merino, and bulky "Donegal Tweed".

Plus: we've expanded our selection of Rowan yarns,
especially bulky weights. We are introducing "Eco Ewe", from the Purelife
collection. A heavy wool suitable for outerwear,
this yarn comes in the natural shades of various British sheep breeds,
including Bluefaced Leicester, Jacob, Black Welsh, and Suffolk.
The Fall Class Schedule is now up on our website. More links
and photos will become available as knitch staff and instructors complete their
sample projects. (We're knitting as fast as we can!) You can see many of the samples "in person" at the shop, too.

Spotted Fair Isle Mittens
Kathleen just completed #58 from 60 Quick Knits.
That is, design
#58 from the book--not project #58 for her--though we have lost track of just
how many projects she's worked through so far.
The "Spotted Fair Isle Mitten" is a 2-stranded knit, worked
with solid Ella Rae Classic and multi-colored Cascade 220 Handpaints.
The handpainted yarn adds color dimensionality without the work of changing colors
every few rows (or all those ends to weave in...) It makes the simple pattern seem much more complicated than it
is.
