Kouri Agents
Wow. Is Summer Over Yet?

In the 40 years of our agency, nobody can remember a summer quite like this. We had a bigger single hail event in 2001, but never the steady stream of different storms, especially this late into August. Usually, we call storm season over after the middle of July. Not so much this year.

We have been running on all cylinders this summer to provide you with the best claims assistance that we can. This is the time when you find out about your company and your agent. How are we doing? If you had a claim, please feel free to email  bryan@kouriinsurance.com with your thoughts on how your claim was handled.

If we did well, I would appreciate it if you spread the word. Our business is about referrals, and there is no better referral than you.

Warm regards,

The Staff of Kouri Insurance

1.
The Affordable Health Care Act. What it does and does not do.

Take the time to study these new regulations...

There are a lot of questions on The Affordable Care Act and how it will apply to each of us. Opinions are divided and passionate, and really depend on what impact you expect the reform to have.

Please Read more
for a timeline of the steps to be taken.
2. Why doesn't my insurance cover that?
Why no policy covers everything...

While insurance is designed to help you recover from a loss, it is not intended to cover every event that might occur. Each policy has a section called Exclusions. This is the part of the policy that explains what is not covered by the policy.
3. Do you have a home based business?
If so, you need more than just your home insurance...

Many home based businesses overlook the importance of insurance for their venture. Mistakenly, many believe that the home policy will automatically extend coverage to a home based business. This is not correct. In fact, especially with daycares, your home policy has very clear exclusions and limitations on home based businesses.

Trivia Question: So you know insurance?
Win a chance for a sleeve of golf balls
Trivia Question
With the water we have had this summer, there have been a lot of questions on Flood Insurance. All correct answers to the following question will be entered into a drawing for a sleeve of Titleist  Pro-V1 golf balls. Drawing will be held Wednesday August 18th.

The Question:

Only limited sections of Sioux Falls are eligible for Flood Insurance since you have to be in a flood zone. Unfortunately, most of Sioux Falls is not. True or False?

Hard to believe, but school is just around the corner! Is your college student covered?

Where did the summer go? It seems like this year we have just had a long storm season versus spring and summer.

Now is the time to consider any coverage changes that might need to be made if you have a child heading off to school, or one that has decided not to. Will they be on the road a lot? Are they still eligible for the family health care plan? Do they have any coverage for their property or liability needs? Did they leave the car at home? Read more...

Sincerely,
