We had a terrific meeting last week. Representatives from the City wanted to hear from us about our parking concerns as they are currently creating new opportunity with the Garage under construction in Downtown. If you missed our meeting, we hope you will join us next month. We meet every 4th Friday of the month, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Englander.

Committee Openings and a Message from your President, Evaristo Rey Garcia of Union Bank:

The San Leandro Downtown Association is growing and if you are interested in additionally participating in our growth, we have committee openings. We want to encourage each of our members to join one committee. Your time requirements will be limited to an as-needed basis and perhaps one committee meeting a month.

Please reply to this email with your interest. Each term is one year with the exception of the By-Laws Committee:

2. By-Laws Committee (couple months term, until done)

3. Membership Committee

4. Budget & Finance Committee

5. Events Committee

Your membership will be more beneficial to you and your company when you actively participate in the future of our organization.

BikeSL Volunteer Opportunities, Sunday, June 12th at Parrott Street near Englander.

Our events are an opportunity for you to wear your LOGO gear and to get to know the members of our community. Remember, friends do business with friends! Come volunteer and become a familiar face to the members of our community.

Beer & Wine Pouring

11am - 2pm - we need 5 beer pourers and 2 wine pourers.

2pm - 5pm - we need 2 more beer pourers. Already signed up - Kimberly Culver, Paulette Nolan, Eden Tosch for Beer and Chadwick Spell, Dr. Rosie Flores and Noe Flores for Wine.

Ticket Sales & ID Check

11am - 2pm - we need 2 volunteers.

2pm - 5pm - we need 1 more volunteer. Already signed up - Ella Felix.

Event & Food Booth - Set-up

8am - 10am - We need 4 more volunteers. Already signed up - Audrey Velasquez, Dr. Maria Manibog, Larry Allphin, Caryn Wegerbauer & Curt Chandler.

Food Booth - Food Sales & Preparation

10am - Noon - we need 3 more volunteers. Already signed up - Joie Hornbeak, Paulette Nolan and Eden Tosch & Curt Chandler.

Noon - 2pm - we need 5 more volunteers. Already signed up - Matt Jones.

2pm - 5pm - we need 6 volunteers.

Our downtown is a terrific place for the community to patronize and visit because of YOU, our business owners. Thank you for all you do for our community and for downtown.
