New Baby Success Stories:

The Hockenberry Triplets

My husband and I had a daughter 10 years ago and we tried several different methods to have another child without success. We decided last February to try IVF, our one last chance. We only had enough money to do one cycle so if it didn't work we would accept that it wasn't meant to be. We started our cycle in April and found out we were pregnant in May. We were so thrilled, after 10 years, WOW, we couldn't believe it. By the third ultrasound we found out we were having triplets. We always wanted 4 children and here was our other 3. On November 25, 2011 we had Edward, Sydney and Hunter. They are all doing great and we couldn't be happier.

Thanks CNY Fertility,
Kathleen

Hard to believe he is

almost 5!

Without Dr. Kiltz I wouldn't have my son who brings me joy everyday of my life. For 22 years I had wanted another child and couldn't have one and then I met Dr. Kiltz and all of the wonderful people at CNY Fertility Center. My two sons are 22 years apart something I would have never thought could happen. Georgie will be 5 in a month and he has brought nothing but joy into our lives. He is a blessing and cherished everyday. Thank you so much Dr. Kiltz and everyone at CNY Fertility. You guys are miracle workers. There is no way I could repay you for all you have done.

Thank you!!
Elizabeth

Be Good to Yourself:
When was the last time you were good to yourself?  I mean, when you woke up and thought: "Hmmm... What do I need today? What do I want to do today?" When was the last time you said "Me first," and didn't consider what you should, would, or could do, but what you wanted to do for yourself?

Being good to yourself is creating a habit that becomes a practice, a philosophy of being.

Maya Angelou's quote explains this concept perfectly: "If I am not good to myself, how can I expect anyone else to be good to me?"  The energy of giving to others and not to oneself creates a vacuum in the flow of conscience and unconscious energy patterns, both internal and external.  This creates an unbalance.

The month of February is known as the month of romance, which perhaps makes you immediately think of sharing yourself with another person through romantic love.

So often we women frantically try to make things come together to flow perfectly while forfeiting our needs to the needs of others.  It is the erosion of our needs, without an internal connection to self-love, that creates a sense of being half filled rather than feeling your cup runneth over.

It is foreign for women to think about themselves first. We are the nurturers and the home keepers not in the "housewives" sense but in being the creators of the home sacred space and the providers of a sense of familial connection.  We are hard wired to think about the whole unit and not just our singular being.

Ahh, but then comes the fertility speed bump.  The natural progression to motherhood is abruptly stopped or altered.  The flow is clogged and blocked, creating stress in the homeland and in yourself. So who you are? Reaching your heart desires might feel elusive. Click here to read Kristen's entire article.

AT CNY FERTILITY, YOUR SILENCE IS HEARD

Lisa Stack

Sitting in our comfortable reception area with a cup of tea as you wait for your name to be called may not always feel as relaxing as the image would suggest.  As you rest silently wondering what this appointment will bring, please know that the woman next to you understands the magnitude of your silence.  She too, often sits silently.  Before an appointment, at a friend's baby shower, out to dinner with friends - there is a often a collective silence amongst those coping with infertility.  To the outside world, you may appear more reserved, or even a little down.  However, within our walls, everyone can hear your silence.

If you are not ready to talk about your challenges yet, that is OK.  It takes time to open up, to trust, and to let go.  Whenever you are ready to share, we are ready to listen.  For now, please know that we already hear you.

If you would like to sit amongst those who understand you and hear you, please join us for one of our many support opportunities this month.  All of our support groups and webinars are free.  You don't even have to be an active client yet to participate.  For more information on our support opportunities, please visit our CNY Fertility Calendar.

I am also available to listen and offer encouragement.  Please don't hesitate to let me know what you need.
