Quote for the week: "In any quiet moment when you are breathing, The breath may flow out and pause of itself, Or flow in and pause of itself. Here experience opens into exquisite vastness With no beginning and no end. Embrace this infinity without reservation. Dive into it,drink deeply, and emerge renewed."

Erin O'toole, Certified Yoga Instructor
The thing I love about yoga is that each time I unroll my mat, I find something new-a challenge, a perspective, a release, a too-hard-to-put-into-words feeling- and I hope to bring this same discovery to those attending my class.
My practice began several years ago when I was asked to fill in for the yoga instructor at the gym where I taught STEP, Pilates and other fitness classes. I was definitely a "go hard or go home" instructor at the time. I had taken a few yoga classes and went in as a sub knowing very little about the anatomy or philosophy behind the yoga postures; I just blended the Pilates and the yoga as best I could with little preparation. From there, I began adding more yoga to the Pilates series in my classes to create a balance and a flow. When I injured my hip running, I began attending a yoga studio more regularly and really started to explore the foundations of the practice. I could find a similar high through yoga practice that I'd felt when running races. Two years ago, I decided to obtain my 200 hour yoga certification. I have followed Baron Baptiste's power yoga practice and together with the Kripalu roots of my training, look for ways to make the practice accessible to all levels.
I feel very fortunate to be able to share my love for this practice at the CNY Healing Arts. ~Om Shanti
