The Fertile Secret by Dr. Rob
Greetings!

Dr. Rob Kiltz's Fertile Secret integrates state-of-the-art western reproductive technologies with the wisdom of eastern healing modalities. In this e-newsletter we share a few of both of these. If you have any questions please call us at 800.539.9870 and it will be our pleasure to assist you!
Western Approach: Comparison
CNY Fertility ArtApproaching the various cycles available to you, can sometimes feel intimidating.  We have many different options available, and would like to clarify some of the paths you may choose.  There are many factors to consider when estimating your costs and success rates.  Some elements to take into consideration are: insurance, age, quality of gametes, and anatomical/hormonal challenges.  While we are unable to breakdown each option for each client (as you are all unique!), our comparison chart may help clarify the realm of options available to you.  Now, this does not include Frozen Embryo Transfers, Mini-IVF cycles, or PGD. Your Success Rates may also differ from the data in our chart, taking into consideration your unique medical history.  However, this chart can serve as a good guideline for your options available, as you are working through all potential scenarios. Click here to view the comparison chart. This chart includes fertility treatment options that range from an IUI cycle without medications all the way up to an IVF cycle, a Donor Egg Cycle or Donor Embryo Cycle. If you are interested in a Donor Cycle or are just curious in exploring that option, please feel free to email Pati Breh at pbreh@cnyfertility.com and she will be happy to answer questions and assist you.
Eastern Approach: Quality Sleep
CNY Fertility Center

Everyone knows how it feels to lose sleep. On any particular night, you stay up too late or doze off too early and suddenly your whole schedule is off; you're either too tired to wake up when you should or too rested to sleep through the night.

Although it may not seem like a big deal, losing sleep can seriously disrupt your circadian rhythm.

Your circadian rhythm can impact your sleep cycle, hormone levels, body temperature, growth, digestion, reproductive function, memory retention, etc.

With a little knowledge of circadian rhythms, we can begin to make the connection between your sleep cycle and your fertility. In 2009, a publication in Fertility & Sterility summed up over 200 studies on how the hormone melatonin may influence reproductive function. Read more on this here.

Baby Success Story

Baby Success Story - 6/23/11

I can't thank both the Albany and Syracuse CNY Fertility Center offices enough for giving me a beautiful baby girl, that makes my heart melt everyday. After a failed fresh and frozen cycle of IVF, we were disappointed, but were determined to continue on with our journey for a baby.

My husband and I went on to complete our second cycle of IVF and after transferring 4 -not so great- embryos, we finally got our positive pregnancy test!!!

We were pregnant with twins- and although we lost one twin at birth, we can't express our thanks enough for giving us the gift of our baby girl. The experience has made our family closer and has given us an appreciation for life and our baby girl.

Thank you Dr. Rob and Dr. Grossman!
