I know this is what everyone has been waiting for...the production version of Laserfiche 8 has been released.  For those of you brave souls who want to upgrade without the assistance of DocUnited, you can download LF 8 from the support site. Go to support.laserfiche.com and click on the Downloads tab at the top.  For everyone else we will be scheduling times to start upgrading. Also we will be put together some Webinars to help facilitate learning about the new features.  

If you have ever had trouble with attaching a document in Laserfiche to your email this Tech Note may help you. 

MAPI(Messaging Application Programming Interface) interfaces with applications like Laserfiche that have a Send Mail or File Send.  If your email has been working in Laserfiche and for some reason it stops working and you get some funny error about MAPI, it is an easy fix.  Just go to C:\Windows\system32 scroll down to you find the fixmapi.exe file.  Fixmapi does exactly that, it fixes MAPI.  Double click on the fixmapi.exe and then reboot.  Your mail should work fine after that.
