The 2010 Belin Quartet Summer Season has officially started! 

The Belin Quartet is comprised of five musicians from the Des Moines area, including alternating violinsts John Helmich, Julie Fox Henson, and Tracy Engman-Finkelshteyn, violist Sherida Josephson, and cellist George Work.

Esperanza Spalding is taking the jazz world by storm and the Civic Music Association is delighted to have her open this year's season!

Esperanza Spalding is a 23-year-old jazz vocalist/bassist and has already become the youngest faculty member at Berklee College of Music and performed for President Obama.

"In her ebullient singing and her agile bass playing, Ms. Spalding radiated a cyclone-force charisma, along with the fresh-faced self-conviction that only precocity can bestow," said Nate Chinen in an article he wrote for The New York Times a year ago.

 Tickets will be available for as low as $10!  All tickets will be priced according to section at Drake University's Sheslow Auditorium and will range from $10 -$45.
