Belin Quartet 2010 Summer Season
 The 2010 Belin Quartet Summer Season has officially started! The Belin
Quartet plays a series of FREE noontime concerts on summer Fridays
in downtown Des Moines.
Concerts are held in Nollen Plaza or the
Downtown Public Library Lawn and begin at 12:15 pm.
The Belin
Quartet is comprised of five musicians from the Des Moines area,
including alternating violinsts John Helmich, Julie Fox Henson, and
Tracy Engman-Finkelshteyn, violist Sherida Josephson, and cellist George
Work. |

Esperanza Spalding opens 2010/2011 Season!
 Esperanza Spalding is taking the jazz world by storm and the Civic Music Association is delighted to have her open this year's season! Esperanza Spalding is a 23-year-old jazz vocalist/bassist and has already become the youngest faculty member at Berklee College of Music and performed for President Obama. "In her ebullient singing and her agile bass playing, Ms. Spalding
radiated a cyclone-force charisma, along with the fresh-faced

Civic Music Association Joins Midwestix!
 Civic Music Association is delighted to join Midwestix! Tickets to all concerts in the 2010/11 Season will go on sale August 2. For tickets prior to August 2, please click here to become a Season Subscriber. NEW for the 2010/11 Season Tickets will be available for as low as $10! All tickets will be priced according to section at Drake University's Sheslow Auditorium and will range from $10 -$45. Prices vary depending on concert.
