GROUPS FOR CHILDREN 
 
Families are very important to us at Lepage Associates. 12% of children and adolescents in North Carolina experience severe emotional disturbances in a given year. We've designed a number of groups to help children and families. Click below for each group.

Through a series of fun activities, in a supportive environment, we help teens learn social skills. Improving social skills for teens who are shy, socially awkward, reserved, have difficulty making and maintaining friendships, or have behavioral problems in groups. The schedule has changed to every other week for 12 weeks beginning March 13th.
 
Through a series of fun activities, in a supportive environment, we help children learn social skills. Improving social skills for children who are shy, socially awkward, reserved, have difficulty making and maintaining friendships, or have behavioral problems in groups. A new session starts in April and runs for six weeks.
 
Coping with Divorce Group for Pre-Teen Girls
Aimed to help children prepare for and cope with feelings related to divorce, and to develop a positive outlook and plan. Open-enrollment through the end of March.

GROUPS FOR ADULTS

Helping professionals face unique stressors and issues. This group is for all helping professionals (nurses, therapists, doctors, child advocates, etc.).  We will discuss specific strategies for self-care and how to utilize both professional and natural supports. Ongoing enrollment.
 

Coping Skills Group based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy

This therapy group is designed for adults with many different emotional problems. The goal of the group is to help you develop balance in your life through skill acquisition. The group will help you learn and refine skills in changing behavioral, emotional, and thinking patterns associated with problems causing distress. Components include interpersonal relationships, regulating emotions, developing distress tolerance, and improving your sense of self. A new schedule has been developed to meet once a week for 75 minutes.

 

Addictions/Compulsions Recovery Group

This group is designed as a support and therapy group specific to the needs of people who have struggled with addictions and compulsions (alcohol and drug abuse, gambling, shopping, hoarding, overeating, pornography, recurrent infidelity, etc.). We welcome people at all stages in the process of recovery, with a history of any type of addictive or compulsive behaviors. Ongoing enrollment.

 

Women's Therapy Group

A variety of topics will be discussed depending on the group to include depression, general stress, relationships, etc. Open enrollment.
