| Legislative Notes | |
Some bills proposed at the state capitol to be aware of include:
- SB 1519 which would repeal AHCCCS entirely
- HB 2706 and SB 1553 which would provide funds for parents to enroll students with a disability in private school Click here to see an explanation of the bill from the Center for Arizona Policy.
- HB 2415 requires school boards to develop formal procedures regarding bullying

| Child Health Scorecard ranks Arizona 49th Overall | |
The Children's Action Alliance supplied a brief overview of some of the results in a new report issued by Commonwealth Fund: State Scorecard on Child Health
System Performance: "Arizona's best ranking was for high school students getting recommended physical activity (9th best), and was in the better half of states in hospital admissions for pediatric asthma (19th) and infant mortality (22nd). Arizona was among the worst 5 states in children covered by health insurance (47th), children with a medical home (47th), children with oral health problems (50th), and children with special health needs getting needed referrals to services (51st)." AZ Community Living Now is a series of trainings offered at multiple sites with information on housing related issues for people with disabilities and their families. Monday, February 28, 2 pm - 4 pm TOPIC: Making Informed Choices - · How to rent an apartment or buy a home · How to make your home accessible · Housing choice in the community for families and individuals with disabilities Who should attend: Persons with disabilities, their families, and service providers who support them.
