Explanation of UT COBRA Notice

In a one sentence email, President Lloyd Jacobs has advised that the COBRA notice is an IRS requirement.  The UT-AAUP CPA advises the COBRA notice may also be required by the Affordable Health Care Act (aka Obama Care).

The bottom line is that the COBRA notice should not be misinterpreted as a lay-off notice from the Jacobs Administration.
