A number of persons have suggested that the UT-AAUP should file a complaint with the IRS concerning the continuing W2 fiasco.   

We have checked with our CPA firm and with our legal counsel and have been advised that the IRS does not have a complaint mechanism or procedure for complaints of this kind.   

Some people have reported receiving three W2s for 2011 and believe that the latest W2 is not correct.  Because of the pending tax filing deadline of April 17, 2012, some persons have reported that they will file a tax return using the most current W2.  This is an individual decision.   

We recommended that everyone check to be sure that your W2 is correct even if you have not received a notice that your W2 was in error.  We have been made aware that some people were never notified of an error only to find out that their W2 was reissued.
