ut-AAUP Bulletin

"by and for the bargaining units but open to all"

Issue #42

More Info on the 50% cut in Paychecks

Don Wedding, AAUP Executive Board

A telephone call this a.m. to UT Payroll confirmed that UT Payroll is issuing four paychecks instead of three checks. These checks will be 50%, 100%, 100%, and 50% of the expected pay as reported in our earlier newsletter. The UT website still says three checks, but a last minute decision was made, perhaps by David Dabney the new  CFO & VP for Finance, to go to four checks.  The UT Payroll Office was asked about Summer II which is also listed as three checks, but the Payroll Office is unable to give an answer. However, those faculty working Summer II should probably plan on four checks. Also it is not known how the Jacobs Administration is scheduling Summer III paychecks. All of this applies only to faculty and not to administrators.
