RALLY FOR FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

We are a group of faculty, staff, police, and students who want to save UT by finding alternatives to Jacobs' 'slash and burn' job-cutting, wage reduction strategies. The "savings" Jacobs identifies always target the people who are most vulnerable - food service workers at the Hospital, untenured faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and even the Campus Police. At the same time, the Upper Administration gives themselves HUGE bonuses and there is no accountability for student money (e.g. the library technology fee).
Jacobs' comments about Senate Bill 5 indicates he wants a fight with the faculty Union too. This rally is the start of a collaborative effort to take back UT.
