October 5, 2010

Dear UT-AAUP Colleagues,

At a time when working families in northwest Ohio are facing a jobs crisis and unprecedented hardship, our partnership with the United Way is more valued than ever.  The United Way of Greater Toledo focuses on education, income, and health - the building blocks for a better quality of life.  This is exactly what Toledo needs to help families recover, rebuild and create a strong future.

For the 2010 United Way Campaign, CWA 4319, AFSCME 2415, UT-AAUP, and the UT-PPA are coming together to make a difference in our community by engaging our members in a Solidarity Campaign.  Your fellow UT-AAUP members and campus colleagues can benefit from the programs offered by United Way, especially during times of crisis.  We are giving our members the opportunity to show that we truly do Live United by giving and advocating on behalf of the UT-AAUP.  Thank you in advance for your gift.

Although the Solidarity Campaign does not have the option to implement payroll deduction, you may choose to be billed by United Way or make a pledge through your credit or debit card, essentially making your contribution as easy as payroll deduction.  The Solidarity Campaign will run from October 1st through October 31st.  Please join us and make your contribution today!

Sincerely,
