Tom Davidson is In The Spotlight for December!
Tom Davidson was recently interviewed for the USA TODAY/CBS News Series "Senior Moment" about the Baby Boom generation. Tom says the reporter found him via internet search with multiple hits on his popular speaking topic, Boomers, Geeks, and Geezers.
Here's what USA TODAY published from Tom's interview:
"To encourage better communication between generations at work, leadership consultant Tom Davidson, 54, of Richmond, Va., offers a program, 'Boomers, Geeks and Geezers.' He says people need to realize "it is our early life experiences that shape our values, which we take into the workplace." (USA TODAY, November 18, 2010)

Immediate Past President of NSA-VA, Tom is a great role model, not only for this year's ProTrack-ers (for whom he's "The Dean") but also for experienced speakers. An active life-long learner, Tom jumped on the tips from November's NSA program to maximize his social networking. Right after the program, Tom added a business page to his Facebook profile and emailed colleagues to look at and "LIKE" his page!
Tom, we thank you for teaching us by your example that even the best can learn to improve!

Leadership Development: Getting Leaders Up to Speed and Down to Business
Bio: Tom Davidson is an executive coach who changes the way people think about learning leadership in the 21st Century. Tom has coached nearly 1000 new managers and emerging leaders through career transitions into successful managerial positions. His speaking audiences and coaching clients all benefit from Tom's wide range of real-world experience--he briings lessons learned from positions as varied as forester, public affairs officer, and vice president of human resources/organization development.
In addition to BS degrees in forestry and agricultural economics from North CarolinaStateUniversity, Tom earned an MBA from the University of Richmond and an MSOD from The American University and NTL Institute in Washington, DC.
Tom's first book is titled, The 8 Greatest Mistakes New Managers Make: Getting Your Leadership Up to Speed and Down to Business, and he writes a column on leadership lessons from the daily news called, Leaderslips & Tips: The Good, The Bad, and the Bungled.
