Many people have remarked how laid back the Village Chapel is. That is in large part by design. We are part of the Calvary Chapel movement that got a big part of its start in the surf movement of the 1970's and early Christian Rock and Roll movement. This weeks tough question is... If God is both omniscient and perfectly good, how could events like the flood happen? Either God did not know that everyone except Noah and his family would turn evil, in which case He is NOT omniscient, or, He did know what was going to happen ahead of time and allowed it anyway, in which case He "appears" to NOT be perfectly good (by human estimation). Why would God create a race that He knew He was going to have to (almost completely) wipe out?
This is a great question and I am going to boil it down to two simpler questions. The first question this asks is "How can a good God who loves us let bad things happen?" and the second question is "Does God knows everything (Omniscience)?"... click here to read more
