NEWS & EVENTS
Month Year
Greetings!

April is National Jazz Month, so celebrate with the CSU Jazz Ensembles on Wednesday night!

Not to be missed is the extraordinary Borromeo String Quartet. Declared "Simply the Best," by the Boston Globe, Borromeo delights CSU audiences on Friday with their fourth residency at the school.

Speaking of guest artists...don't miss the opportunity to hear South American composers performed by Guadalupe López Pérez on piano, or everyone's favorite combination of piano and violin with Hasse Borup and Mary Kathleen Ernst. These renowned artists perform in the world's most famous halls and cost much more to hear elsewhere!

If it's not one museum, it's another! Join us at the University Center for the Arts on Thursday for the opening of the Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising.

This e-newsletter also reminds you about the upcoming theatre production of Six Characters in Search of an Author and the Spring Dance Concert.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Clary, Director of Marketing & Publicity

THEATRE "SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR" OPENS NEXT WEEK
Six Characters in Search of an AuthorSix Characters In Search of an Author, by Luigi Pirandello and directed by Laura Jones.

In its millennium retrospective of the major literary influences contributing to our modern sensibilities, TIME Magazine named Luigi Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author the most significant play of the 20th Century! As a stage director tries to conduct a routine rehearsal with a company of actors and technicians, they are interrupted by the arrival of six characters insisting that their story - not the one on the boards - be shown and told to the audience. Not only was Pirandello one of the first writers to exaggerate the stereotypes of domestic drama by burdening them with such self-awareness, his seminal work explores the gaps between appearance and reality as well as form and content in an existential world where the tragic and comic coexist as points of view. READ MORE, PRINT A POSTER
