NEWS & EVENTS
Month Year
Greetings!

The School of the Arts presents eight events over the next six days and we hope you can join us!

There are two band concerts, one with a guest pianist and the second with a guest saxophonist. Also, three CSU Choirs join forces for a powerful presentation.
Don't miss CSU's awesome instrumentalists and vocalists in action!

This weekend is the Theatre production of Eurydice - a magic, whimsical play...a world of talking stones, raining elevators, and rooms made out of string - don't miss this modern reworking of the classic Greek myth.

Also taking place this weekend is the CSU Tour Dance Company Showcase and Fundraiser.

On Sunday evening, don't miss renowned Russian violinist and concertmaster of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Boris Garlitsky, for a special appearance.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Clary, Director of Marketing & Publicity

CSU THEATRE PRESENTS EURYDICE
EurydiceEurydice, by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Kaily Anderson. In the original Greek myth, while mourning the death of his wife Eurydice, Orpheus plays such beautiful music that he receives permission from the Gods to go to the underworld and bring her back.

Eurydice is a play about what it is to love, to lose, and to find oneself along the way. Hardly new themes, Ruhl's open and honest approach to the work enlivens the tale, bringing truth and evoking pathos for the story's characters.

"The first time I read the play, I was moved in an inexplicable way," remarks Anderson. "Ruhl has taken the original myth from Ovid's Metamorphosis and used it as a base point for her own quirky and wonderful story - I was quite taken with it." READ MORE
