CSU THEATRE PRESENTS EURYDICE
EurydiceEurydice, by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Kaily Anderson, is a modern reworking of the Greek myth by the same name.

In the original myth, while mourning the death of his wife Eurydice, Orpheus plays such beautiful music that he receives permission from the Gods to go to the underworld and bring her back. As it goes with Greek God's, there is the stipulation that he may not turn for a last look as they walk back up to the mortal world; he does, of course, and ends up losing her forever.

This version of the play places the characters in a semi-surreal, more modern world, exploring themes of grief, loss, family, love, passion, and youth in a relevant way.
