CSU School of the Arts alumni are making a name for themselves all over the world, and we're pleased to be able to share their successes with you. ORGAN RECITAL & SILENT MOVIE
The Mask of Zorro at CSUOrgan Recital by Doug Thompson & Screening of The Mask of Zorro with Bob Castle, Denver's Paramout Theatre organist

Hear Doug Thompson play a short program of solo selections, followed by a 7:30 p.m. showing of the silent film classic The Mark of Zorro with Denver's Paramout Theatre organist Bob Castle. This 1920 cult film, accompanied by CSU's mighty 1928 Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, is sure to please the entire family!

STUDENT COMPOSER WANTED

The Caucasian Chalk Circle at CSUWanted - a student to compose, play and accompany a singer or sing in the Theatre program's September production of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle. Looking for simple, acoustic guitar songs using country, blues, rock, or other sources. A great opportunity for resume building and personal development!

THEATRE WELCOMES PRICE JOHNSTON
New Theatre Faculty Price Johnston

The Division of Dance & Theatre is pleased to announce that Price Johnston will join the faculty as Assistant Professor of Theatre Design this fall. Johnston is an exceptional artist with a distinguished resume as a designer and teacher.

 

Johnston says, "I am truly excited to join a program with such a strong foundation and growth potential. Working at Colorado State is a dream come true for me. I hope to pass on my experience in Lighting, Sound, Projection and Digital Media Design to the students and help create a strong Designer core for the performing arts." Read more (PDF)

MUSIC WELCOMES DR. TIFFANY BLAKE
New Music Faculty Dr. Tiffany BlakeThe Department of Music is pleased to welcome Dr. Tiffany Blake to its faculty as Assistant Professor of Voice. Dr. Blake received her DMA in Vocal Performance and Literature with a minor in Opera Stage Direction from the Eastman School of Music, where she also earned her MM degree and was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate. Blake comes to CSU from the University of Missouri Columbia where she is director of MU Show-Me Opera and Assistant Professor of Voice. Read more
VOICE STUDENTS TAKE HONORS AT NATS

CSU Vocal Students Win AwardsIn April, CSU vocal students had an excellent showing at the annual Colorado & Wyoming National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition.  The competition included over 500 high school, college and adult students.
