Impressions of Place: The Cole CollectionThrough Friday, March 14, you can experience historic visions of the world in a remarkable display of prints and maps by acclaimed artists such as Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt Van Rijn, and William Blake, in the Hatton Gallery's exhibition Impressions of Place: Prints and Cartography from the Dave and Lily Cole Collection. And enjoy our last two concerts before Spring Break - the Wind Ensemble Invitational on March 12 and the Chamber Orchestra on March 13. Read below for more details!

WIND ENSEMBLE INVITATIONAL

Wind Ensemble Invitational ConcertIn their annual High School Invitational concert, the Wind Ensemble welcomes the Fossil Ridge High School Wind Symphony. The concert includes a performance by the Wind Ensemble of Does She Know? by Jay Rees. This work was written as a memorial to Sam Huff, a dancer, flutist, and the drum major of the Mountain View High School marching band in Tuscon, Arizona, who enlisted in the Army and was killed in Baghdad in 2005.

CHAMBER ORCHESTRA PRESENTS TWO KEY PERSONALITIES
CSU Chamber OrchestraJoin guest conductor Steve McNeal to explore the two sides of the key of C through Mozart's delightful Symphony No. 34 in C Major and the tragic sounds of Schubert's Symphony No. 4 in C minor. Two concertos from viola professor Margaret Miller complete an evening of mixed emotions!

EXHIBITION EXPLORES ART & SCIENCE
Art & Science ExhibitionSee the third annual Art and Science Exhibition presenting the creative talents of students, faculty and staff and highlighting the bond between scientific inquiry and artistic practice. This unique exhibition features artists who use aspects of science for their artistic inspiration or utilize fundamental principles of science in the creation of their art.

MASTER CLASS WITH JAMES MCDONALD

Dr. James McDonaldDr. James McDonald, past recipient of Fulbright and German Academic Service scholarships and current faculty member of the New England Conservatory, will give a German Art Song Master Class where you can observe him perform and provide hands-on instruction to top select students in an open, informal setting. Dr. McDonald will work with Graham Anduri, baritone; Ashley Baker, soprano; James Baumgardner, tenor; Christie Connolley, mezzo soprano; Stuart Dameron, baritone; Elizabeth Mattox, soprano; and Nichelle Stewart, soprano; all students who were selected by their voice teachers.
