| YOU'LL LOVE VERDI'S OPERA FALSTAFF |
RESERVE YOUR SEATS NOW FOR VERDI'S MASTERPIECE FALSTAFF
Verdi's opera Falstaff will delight you with its memorable characters, comedy, and melodies. Based on Shakespeare's play The Merry Wives of Windsor, Falstaff tells the story of the incorrigible yet irresistible rogue Falstaff, a braggart, con man and habitual liar who attempts to woo two married noblewomen at the same time, in hopes of procuring their fortunes. His scheme is quickly discovered, and the women get hilarious revenge.
The Colorado State University Children's Dance Training Program makes its performing debut in Falstaff. Playing the role of little fairies, Bailey Carmichael, Anna Cherian, Chloe Ellison, Rachel Nelson, Lyric Johnson, and Sophia Thaut, ages 8 to 9 years old, have worked very hard and are thrilled to be performing on stage at the UCA! The young students take ballet class from Jane Slusarski-Harris, Director of the Division of Dance and Theatre and the Children's Dance Training Program, and rehearse on Mondays and Wednesdays at the dance facilities on campus.
